Restricted business on Russia and Belarus

Modified on Wed, 20 Jul, 2022 at 6:45 PM

The US and multiple countries in the European Union (EU) levied sanctions against Russia and Belarus following the invasion of Ukraine.

Tatum.io operates in the US, EU, and more. We are therefore obliged to follow US and EU regulations.

Impact on cross-border commerce

Stripe currently does not support Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus. All major credit card networks have announced that they are no longer providing services to Russian financial institutions. Additionally, Stripe does not process transactions involving sanctioned Russian financial institutions and does not support Mir.  This means transactions involving Russian-issued cards are likely to be unsuccessful.

Tatum.io uses Stripe as a payment platform provider. More information on payment restrictions is available at the following link.
