NFT - Minting and credit consumption

Modified on Tue, 18 Oct 2022 at 08:50 AM

At the time to mint your NFT on the mainnet, Gas fees will be deduced as Tatum API key credits considering the current gas price applicable on the selected blockchain.

Tatum covers the minting fee for you and then deducts the corresponding number of credits from your monthly credit allowance. Additional information is available at the following link.

Good to know

  • When used on the mainnet, NFT minting works only with paid Tatum plans.
  • To mint NFTs on Celo and Harmony, a Start Plan should be enough to mint plenty of NFTs.
  • To mint NFTs on Polygon and BSC, we recommend a Basic Plan.
  • Gas fees on Ethereum are usually very high. The highest tier paid plan would be advised.

Creating NFTs (minting) has a variable cost that fluctuates depending on the function you seek to perform or the applicable platform. For example, you may want to keep an eye on an Ethereum Gast tracker like Etherscan.
